In 2009 LOGHILTON inaugurates the Art division, which deals with the logistics, warehousing and transportation of works of art. This activity is born out of a passion for refined, prestigious and unique transport, like the works of art we bring to destination.
We manage the service from design through to transport planning, we interact directly with public and private foundations and we offer an all-round service, to satisfy every request, from loading to positioning.
We produce enclosures designed to put the work we transport in complete safety, through rigid and soft packaging, with air-conditioned boxes and vibration detection systems.

The coating in contact with the artwork is made with sheets of pH-neutral paper or sheets of synthetic material with chemical inertia (nonwoven fabric sheets) and sheets of polythene aluminium. The Anima dell'Acqua exhibition was a platform made up of more than 140 works located throughout Italy and Europe. With its imposing structure, the Anima dell'Acqua exhibition forged our spirit and mind, transforming a winding journey into a water-like fluid experience. There are 44 museums, foundations and galleries involved, and over 140 works carried.
The Pieter de Witte exhibition is another challenge that we wanted to take on without delay, for what it would have represented, for the location of Volterra, for its mysterious and fascinating land. The realisation and logistic design of this exhibition was the real challenge, completed brilliantly thanks to the experience and constant attention to detail of our staff.
The event at the Biggs Museum of American Art was a test to achieve our goals overseas, reinforcing our knowledge of customs practices, export, fumigation of the boxes and logistics management. Most attention was dedicated to the works in alabaster, a fascinating material with its ivory colour, but extremely delicate.
The Vittorio Emanuele II exhibition brought us back to the past, taking care of works rich in stories that timelessly resurface. It was an experience rich with emotion and full of satisfaction, enriched by a square like Palazzo Reale in Turin. The whole technical and managerial part was unique in its genre: having to face such large works prompted us to take on work of an even higher level.
We brought the colours of the Flemish from Bergamo to Brussels, for the exhibition at the Palais des Beaux Arts. It was a privilege to us to have transported 51 works from the Accademia Carrara and to have contributed to giving an international weight to the city of Bergamo. 38 illustrious masters brought prestige and depth to the exhibition, from Pisanello to Carpaccio, from Titian to Bellini.
For LOGHILTON and its employees it was an honour to take care of the “Madonna in Trono” by Pietranico. Transporting this piece was a special experience that we will always carry in our hearts. The terra cotta work re-emerged from the earthquake that struck Abruzzo in 2009. Restored by an Italy/USA collaboration of expert hands, dedication and professionalism by the restorer Elisabetta Sonnino, and under the complete vision of Dr. Arbace Lucia, Superintendent for the BSAE of Abruzzo. The journey to the Italian American Museum in New York, for the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Italy and the date of 2 June 2011 will be, over time, an indelible milestone for LOGHILTON.
